Mainz lives diversity, and has done so for a long time. The queer community is firmly anchored in Mainz and many important organizations are based in Mainz, such as the dgti, Schwuguntia e.V. and Bar jeder Sicht.
The many important services for the queer community will be expanded to include a new format in 2026:
The Rainbow Career Day!
The event will take place for the first time on June 30, 2026 - directly on the university campus, in the Kulturcafé
Companies present themselves here as regional employers and show why they see diversity in the company as an essential part of the corporate culture and are very happy to talk to interested visitors from the queer community (and all those for whom diversity is important).
Conversely, everyone who attends the Rainbow Career Day learns how authentic a company is and whether their own personality is reflected in this company. Regardless of the industry or general field!
The event will be complemented by a supporting program that also invites people to exchange ideas, engage in dialogue, get to know each other and network outside of career talks.
