Head of Tactical Procurement (m/f/d)

In Corporate Procurement, you will assume responsibility for the Tactical Procurement area of Direct Procurement and lead a team of commodity managers. In close cooperation with internal stakeholders, you will ensure the successful implementation of purchasing strategies and the professional management of complex procurement projects. Your focus will be on leading and further developing your team as well as ensuring economical, efficient, and compliant procurement.

You can expect the following tasks in particular:
- You lead, develop, and coach your team and create the conditions for a high-performing and modern procurement organization.
- You manage invitations to tender, contract awards, and contract negotiations, and provide support for particularly complex or strategically relevant procurement projects.
- You are responsible for the prioritization, resource planning, and quality assurance of all ongoing purchasing projects.
- You ensure the successful implementation of defined category and sourcing strategies and promote cross-functional collaboration.
- You act as an escalation point for critical procurement issues and develop viable solutions together with your stakeholders.
- You analyze purchasing metrics, identify optimization potential, and derive sustainable improvement measures.
- You actively drive the standardization, automation, and digitalization of purchasing processes.
- You ensure compliance with governance, compliance, and quality requirements and support audit and risk management topics.
- You support transformation and change initiatives and actively help shape the further development of procurement.

You have a successfully completed degree in business administration, industrial engineering, supply chain management, or a comparable qualification. Alternatively, you have a completed commercial apprenticeship with relevant advanced training. In addition, you bring several years of professional experience in purchasing as well as sound leadership experience. You are distinguished by the following qualifications: - You have extensive experience in tenders, awards, contract negotiations, and supplier management. - You possess a deep understanding of modern purchasing processes along the source-to-contract process. - You are familiar with category management, governance and compliance requirements, as well as modern e-procurement solutions. - You work analytically, make data-driven decisions, and manage organizations using relevant key performance indicators. - You impress with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - You actively shape change, drive innovations, and bring a high affinity for digitalization and process optimization. - You communicate with business fluency in German and have very good English language skills.
