About Us/ What We Stand For As a Diverse Company
Diversity as a Fundamental Principle: Aidshilfe Essen as an Employer
Aidshilfe Essen e.V. sees itself as an organization where diversity is not only respected but actively lived and promoted. As an employer in the social sector, we offer an environment characterized by mutual respect, appreciation for different perspectives, and a strong commitment to social justice.
Our employees come from various professional backgrounds and bring diverse life experiences with them. We view this diversity as a key strength that enables us to better understand the complex needs of our target groups and develop appropriate support services.
We foster an open communication culture, offer flexible working time models, and support professional development through regular training opportunities. As part of the Aidshilfe Essen team, you will work in an environment that values innovation and where your individual strengths can shine.
Rainbow Career Services are important to us because…
The platform is valuable to us because it connects us with professionals who have an understanding of the LGBTIQ+ community. As the organization behind the Herzenslust project, we are looking for employees who share our values and are familiar with the life experiences of our target groups. Through this platform, we emphasize our commitment to diversity and find qualified support for our prevention work.
We are already implementing the following diversity measures in our company:
At Aidshilfe Essen, we rely on flexible working time models that consider various life situations and consistently use gender-neutral language in all our communication. Regular awareness workshops on topics such as anti-discrimination and inclusion are just as much a part of our daily routine as actively promoting a diverse team with different perspectives and backgrounds. We ensure that our premises and services are accessible and foster an open feedback culture that values and includes all voices. We signed the Charter of Diversity back in 2018, officially committing ourselves to diversity – a commitment that we implement daily in our work and our interactions.
