Voluntary Social Year

A voluntary social year (FSJ) offers young adults the opportunity to gain experience in social institutions throughout Austria. It's not just about career orientation, but primarily about personal development and new perspectives. Whether working with children, seniors, or people with disabilities – during your FSJ, you'll learn to advocate for others, take on responsibility, and show empathy. At the same time, you'll develop strengths, gain clarity about your goals, and acquire new social skills. You'll be accompanied by the Association for the Promotion of Voluntary Social Services. You'll participate in exciting seminars, exchange ideas with other volunteers, and gain valuable experiences that will enrich you personally and professionally. It's a time that will shape you in the long term and give you the opportunity to do something for yourself and for society.
