University of Luxembourg

About Us/ What We Stand For As a Diverse Company

The University of Luxembourg is a public, multilingual, and international institution, bringing together staff and students from more than 130 nationalities. We believe that cultural, linguistic, and professional diversity is a key asset for research, teaching, and innovation. Through our values of equality, inclusion, and respect, we are committed to providing a workplace and study environment where everyone can fully thrive.

Rainbow Career Services are important to us because…

They provide a unique opportunity to connect with talent that values diversity and equal opportunities. As a university, we aim to foster inclusive career paths and inspire the next generation of researchers, lecturers, and professionals to thrive in an environment where diversity is recognized as a strength. Participating in this event also allows us to reaffirm our commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community and to actively contribute to a fairer and more open labor market in Luxembourg.

We are already implementing the following diversity measures in our company:

- Establishment of a Gender Equality Delegate, enshrined in law and chaired by Professor Skerdilajda Zanaj, who advises the Rectorate on the design and implementation of the University’s gender equality policy. - Functioning of a Gender Equality Committee, composed of representatives from faculties, research centers, administrative staff, and students, ensuring gender parity and broad representation. - Dedicated structures for inclusion and well-being, such as the Gender Equality Office, the Inclusion Office, and the Committee for Reasonable Adjustments for staff and students with disabilities. - Active participation in national and international networks on equality, diversity, and inclusion. - A truly international and multilingual community fostering intercultural collaboration and openness.
