Rainbow Career Day Magdeburg
The capital of Saxony-Anhalt, beautifully situated on the Elbe River, is not only celebrating 500 years of the Magdeburg City Library next year, but it also has a vibrant queer community.
To enable this one dialogue on an equal footing with cosmopolitan companies, the Rainbow Day 2025 is also coming to Magdeburg, and that's a good thing!
On November 4th, a personal meeting without reservations and with a touch of curiosity will be possible at einLADEN!
Companies introduce themselves here as regional employers and show why they understand diversity in the company as an essential part of their corporate culture and are very keen to engage in conversation with interested visitors from the queer community (and anyone for whom diversity is important).
Conversely, everyone who visits the Rainbow Day learns how authentic a company is and whether their own personality aligns with the company. This is true regardless of industry or general specialization!
The Rainbow Day Cologne will be expanded with a supporting program that invites exchange, dialogue, getting to know each other, and networking, even beyond career talks.

The Rainbow Career Day Magdeburg is much more than a traditional career fair.

Welcome participants and brief joint exchange to kick off the day.

An inspiring 30-minute presentation on mental health, resilience, and self-care in the professional context – especially with a focus on queer realities.
14:15 - Briefing: Employment Agency Perspective
🎙 Speaker: Philipp Schorm, Magdeburg Employment Agency
A 15-minute overview of consulting services, support options, and common pitfalls on the path to a career.
2:45 PM - Keynote Speech: Designing Innovative and Digital Applications
🎙 Speaker: Julian Miethig, Queer4Mat
How can applications be modern, authentic, and inclusive?
A 30-minute practical input with concrete tips and creative ideas for digital application processes.
3:30 PM - Feature from the University: Diversity at the University
🎙 Speaker: Gabriel Rücker, OvGU – Uni Pride
A 20-minute presentation on queer engagement and diversity structures at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.
4:00 PM - Lecture: Opportunities to Combat the Shortage of Skilled Workers
🎙 Speaker: Falko Jentsch, Christopher Street Day Saxony-Anhalt e.V.
How can employersinside Leveraging diversity as a strength?
A 25-minute presentation on the importance of diversity engagement as a success factor in recruiting. It will discuss practical ways companies can actively address the shortage of skilled workers through a queer-friendly corporate culture, fair personnel policies, and social commitment.
4:40 PM - Lecture: Diversity in Work - The Trans Community as an Opportunity
🎙 Speaker: Jenny Rasnov, Queer Together
A 30-minute segment on the importance of trans* visibility in the workplace, opportunities for companies, and ways to achieve greater acceptance in the workplace.
from 5:10 PM – Networking & Wrap-up
Space for conversations, exchange with exhibitors, and individual career counseling. The Rainbow Career Day concludes with drinks and a relaxed atmosphere.
