Rainbow Career Day Magdeburg
The capital of Saxony-Anhalt, beautifully situated on the Elbe, is not only celebrating 500 years of Magdeburg City Library next year, it also has a colorful queer community.
Rainbow Day 2025 is also coming to Magdeburg to enable this dialog on an equal footing with open-minded companies, and that's a good thing!
On November 4, it will be possible to get to know each other personally at einLADEN without reservations and with a hint of curiosity!
companies will present themselves here as regional employers and show why they see diversity in the company as an essential part of the corporate culture and are very happy to talk to interested visitors from the queer community (and everyone for whom diversity is important).
Conversely, everyone who attends Rainbow Day learns how authentic a company is and whether their own personality is reflected in this company. Regardless of industry or general field of expertise!
Rainbow Day Cologne is complemented by a supporting program that also invites people to exchange ideas, engage in dialogue, get to know each other and network outside of career talks.

The Rainbow Career Day Magdeburg is much more than a classic career fair.

Welcome to the participants and a short joint discussion to kick off the day.

13:30 - Lecture: Mental health in the world of work

An inspiring 30-minute input on mental health, resilience and self-care in a professional context - especially with regard to queer life realities.
2:15 p.m. - Short input: Employment agency perspective
🎙 Speaker: Philipp Schorm, Magdeburg Employment Agency
A 15-minute insight into advice services, support options and typical pitfalls on the way into working life.
2:45 p.m. - Keynote speech: Making applications digital & innovative
🎙 Speaker: Julian Miethig, Queer4Mat
How can applications be modern, authentic and inclusive?
A 30-minute practical input with concrete tips and creative ideas for digital application processes.
15:30 - Contribution from the university: Diversity at the university
🎙 Speaker: Gabriel Rücker, OvGU - Uni Pride
A 20-minute input on queer engagement and diversity structures at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.
16:00 - Lecture: Opportunities to combat the shortage of skilled workers
🎙 Speaker: Falko Jentsch, Christopher-Street-Day Sachsen-Anhalt e.V.
How can employers use diversity as a strength?
A 25-minute presentation on the importance of diversity commitment as a success factor in recruiting. Practical ways in which companies can actively counter the shortage of skilled workers through queer-friendly corporate culture, fair HR policies and social commitment will be discussed.
16:40 - Lecture: Diversity at work - trans community as an opportunity
🎙 Speaker: Jenny Rasnov, Queer Together
A 30-minute presentation on the importance of trans* visibility in the world of work, opportunities for companies and ways to achieve greater acceptance in the workplace.
from 5:10 p.m. - Networking & closing
Space for discussions, exchanges with exhibitors and individual career advice. The Rainbow Career Day ends with drinks and a relaxed atmosphere.
