AWO Perspektiven LLC

About Us/ What We Stand For As a Diverse Company

Freedom, equality, justice, solidarity, and tolerance – these are the values the AWO has stood for over a hundred years. Tolerance towards people of different origins, different genders, for a wide variety of lifestyles and cultures is part of our „DNA“ and firmly rooted in the AWO's history. In a patriarchal era (1919), Marie Juchacz sent a strong signal for women's equal rights and for the struggle of the underprivileged working class in the Weimar Republic by founding the AWO. However, commitment to diversity is far more than just a historical legacy or an advantage for our employees – even though we know that the cosmopolitan, tolerant atmosphere has been a crucial factor for many colleagues in deciding to get involved with the AWO. We are an independent and autonomous member organization. Based on our values, we fight together with members, volunteers, and employees for a solidary and just society. We advocate for a democratic society in diversity and treat all people with respect.

Rainbow Career Services are important to us because…

...we see the diversity of our employees as a resource. Every person has their own place in the company and contributes to the company's progress in their own way: Diversity is also a huge advantage for us as an association. We support very different people. The different perspectives and life experiences of our diverse team lead to more empathy, more tolerance, and greater understanding in our daily work. Employees, volunteers, and clients all benefit equally from the diversity within the AWO team.

We are already implementing the following diversity measures in our company:

The AWO sees strengthening democracy and diversity in society as its fundamental mission. It stands for the AWO core values of freedom, equality, justice, solidarity, and tolerance, and resolutely opposes racism, exclusion, and discrimination. In order to shape a diverse society, it acts according to the principle of inclusion. In our teams, we rely on diversity and welcome all facets of life.
