AWO|FFM Daycare Centers Department

About us/ What we stand for as a diverse company

We are the daycare department of AWO Frankfurt am Main. As part of a value-oriented welfare association, we stand for diversity, openness, and active solidarity. In our facilities, we support children regardless of their origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or family background. We see diversity as an enrichment—both in our teams and in our work with families. We create spaces that are sensitive to discrimination, promote equal opportunities, and actively advocate for respectful and appreciative coexistence. As an employer, we offer a working environment in which different lifestyles are welcome and employees can contribute authentically. For us, diversity is not an add-on, but part of everyday life.

The Rainbow Career Services are important to us because...

... they make an important contribution to visibility, equal opportunities, and networking. As the daycare department of AWO Frankfurt am Main, we stand for diversity, respect, and a discrimination-sensitive work culture. Rainbow Career Services creates a space where LGBTIQ* people can position themselves naturally and confidently in their professional lives. It is important for us as an employer to take a stand and actively contribute to ensuring that different lifestyles are valued and promoted – both in our teams and in our educational work with children and families.

We are already implementing the following diversity measures in our company:

We work on the basis of a value-oriented mission statement that clearly anchors diversity, equality, and anti-discrimination. We promote discrimination-sensitive and inclusive education in our daycare centers. Our teams are diverse—we see different cultural backgrounds, languages, lifestyles, and qualifications as an enrichment. We actively promote equal opportunities in recruitment, development, and career advancement. We create a respectful, appreciative work environment in which employees can openly express their identity. We regularly address diversity and social justice in training and continuing education programs. We promote close cooperation with families of all different lifestyles.
