BwConsulting GmbH

BwConsulting is the German Armed Forces' internal management consultancy, focusing on projects prioritized by the defense department. We are approximately 280 employees with diverse backgrounds ranging from the private sector to the public sector, including experienced system experts and recent graduates. We draw strength from our excellent team spirit, our desire to contribute to the defense of our country, and the broad diversity within our company. Openness, appreciation, and trust have been an integral part of our corporate culture for years. Another building block is the promotion of a culture of diversity, and not just in terms of generations, gender, and cultural background. In November 2024, we were awarded the Pride Champion Seal in Gold (Pride Audit). Our "queer&friends" network was a finalist for the Impact of Diversity Award 2025.

To give the topic of diversity even more color, we founded the "queer&friends" network at the end of 2020. Our internal exchange formats and participation in external events in the LGBTIQ+ scene are a key component of this. This also includes the Rainbow Days, which reflect our values and offer us a suitable platform to present ourselves as an open company that values diversity.

Own LGBTIQ+ network, which is active both internally (including diversity lunches, organizing lectures by external speakers on queer topics within the company, integrating guidelines into the company, training managers, adapting corporate wording) and externally (e.g. participation in Cologne's CSD with its own float (together with sister companies in the defense sector)). In addition, several other internal networks on various diversity dimensions were established in 2025.
