Experiment stands for intercultural exchange, diversity and mutual understanding. Our programs promote personal encounters in order to build bridges between cultures, lifeworlds and generations. We are convinced that openness, respect and shared experiences create the basis for a more peaceful and just world.

...it reflects our core values of openness, respect and diversity. As an exchange organization, we create spaces where people of different backgrounds can learn from each other and grow together. With our participation, we set an example and support the LGBTQIA+ community to promote a just and safe society for all.

We have an independent group within the association, exqueeriment, which works closely with the association's development department and is committed to LGBTIAQ+ issues, visibility and sensitivity at Experiment. It also actively supports participants by advising them on safe exchange countries, pointing out cultural particularities in dealing with sexual and gender diversity and providing guidance on how to act confidently and authentically in the host country. We regularly award scholarships to enable as many people as possible to take part in the program. We are a signatory to the Diversity Charter. We use gender-neutral language.
