Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps

About Us/ What We Stand For As a Diverse Company

Since 2018, CGDIS has united all emergency services actors in Luxembourg. We are constantly looking for new, motivated firefighters and emergency medical technicians, both professional and volunteer. Beyond that, we also hire in a wide variety of work areas. Emergency responders are characterized by their commitment to serving the entire diverse society of Luxembourg. CGDIS has set itself the goal of continuously expanding this diversity within its own ranks in the long term.

Rainbow Career Services are important to us because…

... we would like to communicate our internal commitment to diversity more outwardly. It is important to us to draw attention to our diverse job opportunities among a wide range of target groups, which one might not traditionally associate directly with fire departments and rescue services. Just as it is important to us to break down classic stereotypes, especially in connection with the fire department.

We are already implementing the following diversity measures in our company:

- Signing of the Diversity Charter Luxembourg (Charte de la Diversité Lëtzebuerg) - Creation of an internal company charter of values, which also addresses the topic of diversity. - Establishment of an official internal working group for DEI topics, which also serves as a point of contact through our equal opportunities officer. - General existence of various internal points of contact focusing on workplace well-being. - Management training with a strong focus on leading diverse teams and establishing a constructive feedback culture, as well as generally work-psychologically sound support for managers. - Regular organization of internal awareness and information campaigns/events as well as training. - and more to come
