The Rainbow Career Service is important to us because it will help us to reach a broader audience. We believe that all our students should be able to look around them and see at least one adult (and preferably more) who is like them. To achieve this, we need staff that is as diverse as possible.

We have an active DEIJ committee that is split into three subcommittees: Community Learning, Celebration & Belonging, and Culture & Practice. Approximately 50 volunteers are involved in these subcommittees. In the 2024-25 school year, ISL had a DEIJ culture audit conducted with the help of an external consultant and we are now working through the recommendations that emerged from this audit.
