Magnus Hirschfeld Center – Counseling & Communication Non-Profit LLC

About Us/ What We Stand For As a Diverse Company

The Magnus Hirschfeld Centrum – Beratung & Kommunikation gUG (haftungsbeschränkt) is the non-profit subsidiary of Magnus-Hirschfeld-Centrum e.V. Our work stands for diversity and acceptance. We offer confidential and free counseling for LGBTQIA+ individuals who need help in difficult life situations. This includes psychosocial counseling, professional support for all questions and problems related to sexual identity and orientation, asylum procedures, help with discrimination and violence, and access to a strong network. In addition to counseling, we offer educational work for schools, youth, and parents. As a meeting place, we promote exchange, culture, and community through group activities and events. As a subsidiary of Magnus-Hirschfeld-Centrum e.V., we benefit from over 40 years of experience and a broad network. Together, we are committed to a society where diversity is lived and valued.

Rainbow Career Services are important to us because…

The Rainbow Career Services are important to us because they create central spaces for visibility, support, and empowerment. As a queer organization in Hamburg, we actively advocate for LGBTQIA+ individuals to have equal opportunities in the job market and to feel safe and valued in their professional environments. Through targeted programs, we not only foster individual career paths but also contribute to an open, diverse, and inclusive society. We understand diversity as a strength – for each individual and for our community as a whole.

We are already implementing the following diversity measures in our company:

We consciously create safe spaces where queer identities can be seen and lived. This includes a discrimination-sensitive corporate culture, a clear stance against all forms of exclusion, and the active promotion of diversity within the team. We pay attention to inclusive language, consider different life realities in our offerings and structures, and continuously engage with diversity competence. Through networking, consulting, and empowering formats, we strengthen our community and contribute to diversity not only being recognized but also actively valued.
