Since 2018, the CGDIS has brought together all rescue services in Luxembourg. We are constantly on the lookout for new, motivated firefighters and rescue workers, both professional and voluntary. We also recruit in very different areas of work. The rescue services are characterized by being available for the entire diversity of society in Luxembourg. The CGDIS has set itself the goal of continuously expanding this diversity in its own ranks in the long term.

It is important for us to draw the attention of various target groups to our diversity of job opportunities that might not traditionally have been directly associated with the fire and rescue services. Just as it is important to us to break down the classic stereotypes associated with the fire department in particular.

- Signing of the Luxembourg Diversity Charter (Charte de la Diversité Lëtzebuerg) - Creation of an internal values charter within the organization, which also takes diversity into account - Establishment of an official internal working group on DEI topics, which also acts as a point of contact via our Equal Opportunities Officer - General existence of various internal contact points with a focus on well-being in the workplace - Management training with a strong focus on leading heterogeneous teams and establishing a constructive feedback culture, as well as general support for managers based on occupational psychology - Regular organization of internal awareness-raising and information campaigns/events as well as training courses - and more in development
