The Rainbow Career Services are important to us because...

GvW views diversity not only as an ethical obligation, but also as a strategic necessity. Since joining the Diversity Charter in 2017, we have committed to creating a working environment characterized by diversity and inclusion. This commitment is reflected in our daily practice, from the appointment of Diversity Coordinators in all our offices to the creation of a central Diversity Committee with a diverse membership that is actively engaged in promoting and monitoring diversity initiatives across the firm. We firmly believe that the diversity of our employees makes us stronger. Different perspectives, backgrounds and experiences foster creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills. By creating an environment that is free from bias and values all employees regardless of their personal characteristics, we lay the foundation for successful collaboration and sustainable business development. Furthermore, it is important to us to ensure that our personnel decisions are fair and transparent. We continuously monitor the level of diversity throughout our firm to ensure that we are equally open and fair in our hiring and promotions. Barriers to a diverse and inclusive work environment are identified and removed. Our efforts range from flexible working models and training on diversity and inclusion issues to participation in the German Diversity Day. The introduction of uniform gender-equitable communication at a firm-wide level in 2021 is a further step in our efforts to create an inclusive working environment. Through a conscious choice of language, we want to ensure that all employees feel equally addressed and respected. Overall, we see diversity not only as an important social issue, but also as a key success factor for our law firm. That's why Rainbow Day is exactly the right format to get our message across.

We are already implementing the following diversity measures in our company:

Signatories of the Diversity Charter Appointment of diversity coordinators at the locations (responsibility at local level for diversity & inclusion issues) Central Diversity Committee (promotes initiatives throughout the firm) Monitoring diversity to ensure we are equal and open in hiring and promotions Offering training on diversity and inclusion issues Participation in the German Diversity Day Uniform gender-appropriate language throughout the firm
