As vhh.mobility, we are the third-largest municipal bus company in Germany with around 3,000 employees and around 800 buses. We have set ourselves the goal of promoting cosmopolitanism in our company, combined with acceptance and mutual appreciation. We are proud of our diverse workforce and together we want to create a working environment in which everyone feels welcome - regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or ideology, disability, age, sexual orientation and identity. This is why vhh.mobility signed the Diversity Charter back in 2010.

We are looking for employees who identify with our corporate values and want to support our team in all areas, whether in the transport service, administration, workshop, infrastructure or IT.

Corporate strategy: In 2024, vhh.mobility developed a new corporate strategy and defined the values that should guide the company's work. One of the seven values is "diversity". The topic of diversity is thus set at a corporate strategy level with the explanation: "The diversity of the workforce is a factor in the company's success". Diversity has right of way: Under the title "Diversity has right of way", we collect everything to do with the topic of diversity and the various diversity dimensions at vhh.mobility on a special page on our intranet. This is an area where we bundle information, contribute to clarification and are open to respectful exchange and discourse, thus clearing up questions and prejudices. Queer connections: "In the summer of 2024, our LGBTQIA* network was launched by committed employees to create a space for exchange, support and community. Supported by the management, our network acts as a central point of contact for queer issues within vhh.mobility. We are committed to providing information on LGBTQIA* issues and raising awareness of them. We also create visibility with our own page and articles on our intranet platform. Through activities and events, such as our regulars' table and participation in the Hamburg CSD, we promote fun, community and an inclusive corporate culture in which all employees feel accepted. We work together to break down prejudices and create respectful cooperation - because diversity is our strength!" Training courses: Every year, a full-day workshop introduces the new trainees at vhh.mobility to the topic of diversity. The managers at vhh.mobility also underwent training on diversity and "unconscious bias". Diversity bus: A constant stream of new bus stickers with outdoor advertising on the subject of diversity creates visibility and provides information. A bus with an eye-catching diversity design makes the seven dimensions of diversity "tangible" in the truest sense of the word in 2025. With colorful icons and the slogan "The way you are, you're just right with us", attention is drawn to the diversity within the company - and to the attitude that vhh.mobility lives every day. Girls' Day / Future Day: Every year on Future Day, we offer young people a cliché-free career orientation. We introduce the participating girls to professions in our company, for example in the technical area and in the workshop, in which only a few women have worked to date. Social media content and community management: On our social media platforms, we regularly present a wide variety of people who work for us, their stories, their jobs and how they found their way to us in an up-close and authentic way. Our community management team is also specially trained in the topics of "diversity in communication" and "hate speech online".
