Magnus Hirschfeld Centrum – Beratung & Kommunikation gUG (limited liability) is the nonprofit subsidiary of Magnus-Hirschfeld-Centrum e.V.. Our work promotes diversity and acceptance. We offer confidential and free counseling for LGBTIQ* individuals who need help in difficult life situations. This includes psychosocial counseling, professional support for all questions and problems related to sexual identity and orientation, assistance with asylum procedures, help with discrimination and violence, and access to a strong network. In addition to counseling, we offer educational programs for schools and support for youth and parents. As a meeting place, we promote exchange, culture, and community through group activities and events. As a subsidiary of the Magnus-Hirschfeld-Centrum e.V., we benefit from over 40 years of experience and a broad network. Together, we are committed to a society in which diversity is lived and valued.

Rainbow Career Services are important to us because they create essential spaces for visibility, support, and empowerment. As a queer organization in Hamburg, we are actively committed to ensuring that LGBTQIA+ people have equal opportunities in the job market and can feel safe and valued in their professional environments. Through targeted programs, we not only support individual career paths but also contribute to an open, diverse, and inclusive society. We view diversity as a strength—for each individual and for our community as a whole.

We consciously create safe spaces where queer identities can be visible and lived out. This includes a corporate culture that is sensitive to discrimination, a clear stance against all forms of exclusion, and the active promotion of diversity within our team. We use inclusive language, take different life realities into account in our offerings and structures, and continuously engage with diversity competence. Through networking, counseling, and empowering initiatives, we strengthen our community and help ensure that diversity is not only recognized but actively valued.
