Vienna Lines

About us/ What we stand for as a diverse company
We are as diverse as the City of Vienna. We want everyone to join us, because Wiener Linien is all of us: employees with different biographies, different professional skills, (life) experiences, gender identities and talents. We are all unique, just like the people we move around our city every day.
The Rainbow Career Services are important to us because...
... our common goal is inclusion. Inclusion means that all people have the same opportunities and rights, regardless of gender (identities), origin, realities of life, religion, with or without disabilities, sexual orientation, etc.
As Wiener Linien, we create an environment in which all employees feel that they belong and feel safe. This is the only way we can make the most of our talents and experience and develop our full potential.
We are already implementing the following diversity measures in our company:
We are committed to ensuring that equal opportunities and diversity are practiced 365 days a year. This is demonstrated by our many diversity measures.
The "Diversity Network" is a company-wide platform that connects and brings together employees across all departments. Employees regularly exchange views on various diversity topics and contribute new ideas. We choose the topics together.
Wiener Linien's LGBTQIA+ network offers a platform for exchange and support. Here, employees can network, share experiences and support each other at monthly meetings.
The "Wiener Linien Women's Network" offers women in management positions the opportunity to exchange ideas and engage in dialog. Our Managing Director invites women to various discussion topics twice a year.
Our campaign "We are all equal" shows that we are on the right track with diversity.
Raising awareness is a must:
Whether workshops on gender diversity, unconscious bias or campaigns such as "Respect for boundaries" - we are committed to ensuring that colleagues and managers feel more confident in their dealings and are more aware of their prejudices. Accompanying communication, both externally and internally, is a valuable tool for raising awareness and providing support.
We have been committed to gender balance for years and have launched initiatives to attract more women to technology - in our own training courses, among managers and apprentices. A separate scholarship for female students with a technical focus enables young women to spend a year looking behind the scenes at Wiener Linien.
Our campaigns, such as "Innovation comes from women", explicitly address women.
We are also open to people with disabilities and rely on good, long-term cooperation partners when recruiting. They help us to find the right person for the right job.
